Southeastern CT | Warmer Temps are Hurting the Bird Movement

Flyway Atlantic Flyway Flyway Location North Name Justin Besade Date 12/11/15 Specific Location Southeastern CT Weather Condition Weather has been unfavorable with above average temperatures throughout the season so far. Summary Warmer temps are hurting the bird movement so far this season. Usually this time of year fresh water starts locking up in swamps and other shallow water areas which help birds move better and concentrate them in specific areas. There's just to much open water for them to spread out into at the moment. Hopefully temps start dropping and birds start moving. For now I'll be hunting big water as the sea duck numbers are high along costal waters from Cape Cod to RI. Hopefully I'll have a more positive report in a couple weeks on some puddler action! Until then Good luck and keep after them!
